Overnight for Twins

Timmy and Bridget spent last night with us and their Mommy spent a night in NYC with Daddy. They were so good! Yesterday they enjoyed the pool with their older cousins. Timmy buddied up with Stephen and Bridget with Katie. The twins had just finished two swimming lessons and were very at ease in the water blowing bubbles, kicking and paddling with their hands shaped like ice cream scoops!

They went to bed good although Bridget did want me to lie down with her. Hoping to help her fall asleep I told her the story about Green Town Where Everything is Green. She stayed awake and suggested Red Town Story. She was still awake when I left but we didn't hear anymore from her until morning. Timmy fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow!

Oh, one near disaster at bedtime was that I could only find Spiderman Pullups. Bridget wanted her Cinderella ones. I told her with enthusiam that she could be like Timmy tonight and she could be Mrs. Spiderman. She bought this idea and then naturally wanted to tell Timmy. Then I feared Timmy wouldn't want her wearing his pullups. Well Timmy was fine with this so a trip to Walgreens was averted.

This morning we played the piano, put stickers in a sticker book and went to Holmdel Park where they played in a large sandbox and found a slide they just loved. It's fun watching them play together. We went to see the sheep at the farm there. They were all excited to pet a sheep and feed it some dandelion leaves. Timmy brought a leaf home for his mother - he had a stone for his father. After lunch they painted. I helped them fold their paper in half and press the it to spread the paint. They had some very nice painting - about 20.

Next they wanted to watch their Homeward Bound video again. Then before that was finished it was off to the station to see Mommy get off the train. Like all of our wonderful grandchildren they are welcome anytime! Oh, and after this Ammy rested!
